I've always been a fan of everything lemon. Whether it's in my food, drink, shower gel, perfume or even my washing up liquid! It seems to have been passed down through the generations, as both my grandma and mum love it all too, repeatedly buying the lemon verbena range from L'Occitane. I had a look around at my shelves and saw lemon and citrus based products galore, so here is a little collection of my absolute faves!
This whole range is absolutely lovely but obviously I have fallen for Lemon Verbena once again! My flatmate bought me a set with the body butter, body lotion and lip balm for my birthday and he got it pretty spot on. The body butter in particular is one of my favourites because it feels great on the skin and sinks in well. It's a massive tub so you get plenty for your money, not to mention the fact that I'm pretty bad at remembering to moisturise my skin, so it will last much longer! The whole range is very budget friendly and they have scents to suit everybody, so I would definitely recommend taking a look.
This is a great one for popping in your handbag for a quick spritz throughout the day. It comes in a plastic bottle with a simple pump spray top so you don't need to worry about it breaking when running about town. The scent is so refreshing and light - great for waking you up in the morning. I have been known to also use it as a room spray because I love the scent so much!
(Also featuring my 'When Life Gives You Lemons...' Tee from H&M last year.)
I have never been a fan of hand cream. I can't stand the feeling of slimy, unclean hands so just suffer through dryness in the winter. But this gel has completely changed the game! It is a wet and extremely cooling formula that sinks into the skin quickly, without a lingering sticky feeling. This one is a higher price point, so I've just been using the smaller sizes and stretching out my use to make it last longer. My goal is to treat myself to the full sized one at some point.
My lovely mum has got this for me a couple of times and I've fallen in love with it. I'd never thought about having more of a fancy shower gel before, but it feels like such a treat using it in the mornings. It's not technically lemon but I've included it in my list because of its citrus scent and the fact that it is an absolute fave! The scent is made up of lime, blossom and orange and is available in a full range of products for you to fill your home.
This one is new to my collection but not new to me. My mum has had this perfume for as long as I can remember and it's the one that I associate with her the most. I asked her if I could have one of my own for Christmas last year, after suddenly remembering the scent and thinking of her. Now, living in London away from home, I have a reminder of growing up as our little two-part team. The scent may be called 'Green Tea' but it is also made up of lemon, orange zest and bergamot, amongst a whole load of other lovely notes.
Comment below if you have any recommendations of other lovely lemony products. I would love to hear if you try any of these ones out too!
